Naventus participates in COP27, the UN Climate Change Conference 2022
Naventus, focusing on the Renewables sector, is attending the UN Climate Change Conference, COP27, in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The conference will be held from 6 - 18 November 2022, bringing together a number of world leaders to battle climate change and reduce CO2 emissions. Naventus is represented on site by Ingmar Rentzhog, board member of Naventus and founder of We Don't Have Time.
"We need to stop the earth from heating up beyond repair, which means we need to get rid of fossil fuels and cut carbon emissions dramatically. - Ingmar Rentzhog.
At this year's COP, the focus is on adaptation to climate change to ensure reduced vulnerability to a changing climate. The attending countries will negotiate the design of the work program for emission reductions established at the COP26 in Glasgow in 2021. The hope is that countries will raise their national climate ambitions to collectively achieve the Paris Agreement's long-term goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.
The agenda for COP27 will be broad, with a new theme each day. Decarbonization will be the theme for the day on November 11th.
